"Julie Baum came highly recommended to us by friends who had her design their kitchen.  After seeing their kitchen we knew Julie was the right person for our project.  She initially visited our home to discuss what ideas we had for a complete remodel and took measurements to develop a plan for us.  Her office/showroom displays gave us additional ideas that she discussed with us before presenting her design plan.  She patiently listened to us, understanding our needs, wants, style and of course budget.  She recommended a local appliance dealer that we visited and found easy to work with and stayed on budget.  Her design plan was unique due to the space limitations of our kitchen/dining area.  She shopped lighting companies and presented lighting fixtures to us to choose from which helped eliminate the overwhelming task of looking at an ocean of light fixtures at the store.  Cabinets, countertops, tile, funriture and paint choices, etc. were made easier through her efforts to coordinate our tastes with her design.  We knew up front the time line for the project.  Julie was highly visible during the project with frequent visits to the work site and communicated with us regularly.  With Julie being the designer and general contractor, the project was a seamless transition when working with her craftsmen.  It was a pleasure to have them working in our home.  Construction problems were solved with patience and innovative ideas.  They have a great work ethic."
