Meet the Designers

 

Julie Baum, ASID, CAPS

is the owner and principal designer of BaumHouse design, a Professional member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), NCIDQ certified (National Council of Interior Design Qualification #22302) and is qualified as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).  Julie has her Associates in Applied Science degree from St. Louis Community College – Meramec in Interior Design (2001) and Accounting (1987).  Prior kitchen and bath experience was with a local company where she rose through the ranks from a beginning designer to a company Vice President before deciding that it was “now or never” to own her own firm.  BaumHouse design was born on April Fools’ day in 2008 and the studio/showroom opened in September 2009.  The location is slightly off the main path and smaller than most kitchen and bath showrooms, but our customers feel comfortable when entering our House, no pun intended.  Combining my accounting background with my creative side has worked beautifully.  When designing a kitchen or bath, it is my responsibility to make sure everything balances, comes in on budget, and is consistent with the vision of our most important assets, our customers.
